“ The flavor of the pork on the cutlet was amazing! And the gravy was so yummy as well. The patty on the burger was amazing too. Pastas were well cooked but they were salty. Staff who served us was pleasant and the atmosphere was cozy. ”
“ Fabulously tasty fixed price February menu. Stuffed pork with sauce, vegetables. Scallop appetizer. Panna cotta & strawberries. $6 wine if early enough. Oh my goodness ”
“ We've enjoyed Tango for years now; they've been a fixture on the Honolulu dining scene, and even after the original chef retired, they've kept their standards and quality just as high as before. They offer monthly prixe fix menus and happy hour specials. They also have a great brunch menu. We were lucky enough to catch this option on New Year's Eve. Ms. K had the lobster benedict ($29), which was simply amazing - a generous portion of lobster on toast with a large serving of potatoes on the side. She said it was probably the best lobster benedict she's ever had. I opted for the Braised Beef Loco Moco hearty chunks of braised shortribs over fried rice, topped with tasty brown gravy and two eggs any style. This was also excellent, although not quite as good as the lobster bene. ”
“ Date: 12/31/24 Time: 12:00pm What they got right: Quality of food, friendly service, and menu selection. And free parking! Areas for improvement: Can't think of any at the moment. Recommend? Yes I ordered the Lobster Benedict and it was in my Top 5 Best Dishes of 2024! OMG! This dish was heavenly! Butter poached lobster meat (no fillers) atop focaccia, topped with a perfectly poached egg and drizzled with Hollandaise. I was blown away ... Hubby ordered Braised Beef Loco Moco thought it was good but the texture of the meat was uneven. Some bits were chewy while others were tender. Overall he would order it again. I look forward to treating myself to another special menu at Tango in 2025! ”
“ Have been loving Tango for years...I even had my high school graduation dinner here! It's been a while since I've been back, since I often forget about this restaurant. I came for dinner but breakfast here is also solid. I like that Tango accepts Yelp reservations, has ample validated parking in their lot, and has a nice & quiet ambience. Service at dinner was also great. In terms of food, I thought everything was tasty. I ordered the portobello mushroom burger with barbecue fries. I also opted to add a cup of soup and dessert (ice cream) for $8. The French onion soup was so good! The soup was probably my favorite dish of the evening. For ice cream choices there was the option of chocolate or cinnamon. Tango is a great option for an elevated but still casual dinner out! ”
“ Same here with a friend for their early dinner 3-course prefix meal. Started with Ahi lollipop appetizers, which were absolutely delicious. The main course was a generous portion of Chicken Milanese. Tasty, but not as impressive as the lollipops. Onto a decadent dessert of chocolate hazelnut cake. I ordered an old-fashioned which I really enjoyed as it was not overly sweet. My friend ordered a coffee and she said it was one of the best cups she's ever had. Liked the modern yet quaint, ambience, and super friendly service. They also have happy hour and we were told they are going to have a new three course prefix menu every month. ”
“ I've eaten at Tango several times for dinner, but I never had the opportunity to try their breakfast until recently. First off, I have to say that the service at Tango Contemporary Café is impeccable, and I LOVED the coffee which they served here. I also LOVED the fact that this restaurant is doggie friendly, so if you have a furry loved one, you can bring 'em with you when you dine here. Just for that, I would automatically give them two thumbs up & 5 stars A.U.T.O.M.A.T.I.C.!!!! Came here with my friend for breakfast & my friend brought along Mia (see my pic - she's so cuuuuuute!!! ). The breakfast menu isn't extensive, but I must say that they had some pretty interesting menu items. After lookin' over the menu, I decided to get the Shredded Duck Confit Hash, and my friend ended up getting the Crab Hash Benedict. What can I say about my breakfast, honestly I was drinking endless amounts of coffee because it was just that good, and I kept looking at Mia, (but I so much miss my Makana). I think I liked the idea of the Shredded Duck Confit Hash, but honestly, I think since the duck meat was shredded, and the way the dish was executed, the duck meat was rather dry. On the bright side, my friend enjoyed the Crab Hash Benedict, and I basically enjoyed both my friend & Mia's company. Lol! No matter the food, dog friendly & you gotta fan here! Lol! ”
“ Came here for a work farewell dinner. Our reservations were at 4:30 pm. There was a total of 19 of us there so they gave us 2 tables. The waiters are amazing! Very on it and great customer service. I ordered the set menu for that day but there was also a bunch of appetizers already ordered for us. I didn't realize I had another appetizer specifically for me in that set menu but it was amazing!!!! I was so full I couldn't eat my entree. The entree was fish and veggies. The sauces on these were amazing! For drinks I also got a Thai coffee which was great. I never had one before. For desert I thought I got ice cream but it was mascarpone. All the appetizers were amazing!!! My favorite was the salt and vinegar brussel sprouts, it really hit the spot. Parking: they have a structure right behind it so you can park there but they only validate for 2.5 hrs. If you know you'll stay longer park in the Nordstrom rack parking which is free. I had to pay $9 which was the max amount they can charge you for going over but there's a rate for every 30 mins. Would I be back, heck yes! 10/10 recommend it ”
“ Wonderful breakfast place. Coffee is the bomb! Love the crab egg Benedict The eggs are all cooked perfectly. The potatoes were lovely. And the FRESH HOME MADE KETCHUP. WOW!!! Reid our server was sharp and friendly and proactive. This place is clean and comfortable. Will definitely be back. Highly recommend! ”
“ A good choice for a get together. We planned on meeting here at 4 pm when Happy Hour begins. They had a special for $40 which included a lot of food. Most of our party chose the smash burger. I had their charcuterie board. Our beverages ranged from iced tea, wine, sprite but there is a whole selection of $5 a glass to choose from during their Happy Hour. It's amazing how many customers steadily entered while we were there. Our servers were patient and indulged us by taking group photos of us. The lighting fixtures are attractive, maybe not so much their ceiling or was it supposed to be like that? A perfect venue for a little reunion!of friends. ”
